Outl4w in Leeds
Outl4w from across the Pennines, came to Leeds. Danielle and Nathan
were lucky to catch up with them before their show.

Outl4w's website says:

"They have been dubbed the next Foo Fighters and were surprise
runners up in London's XFM Radio Rockschool Challenge, as voted for by the
editor of NME. These young skateboarders know their Nirvana from
their NOFX but aren't afraid to use catchy melodies, resulting in a range
of guitar-rock gems.

With one of their songs already picked up by Sony Playstation for an
online campaign, Outl4w have a lot be excited about.

The four-piece band featuring three brothers come from Lytham
St.Annes, write their own material and are already veterans of Top of the Pops
and Blue Peter"

On Wednesday the 19th of April Nathan and I went to The New Roscoe
in Leeds to interview Outl4w before their gig there.

We asked them a few questions and this is how they replied.

Q. How did you meet?
A. Well, 3 of us are brothers and we just met Stuart skateboarding.

Q. How long have you all been together?
A. 2 years and 2 months this May.

Q. What music do you all like?
A. Mainly Punk Rock like the McKenzies and Exploited.

Q. Have you ever met anyone famous?
A. We've met Roger Taylor (the drummer from Queen), Christain O'Connell
(a radio presenter) and Lee Ryan (from Blue).

Q. How long do you think you'll be together?
A. Well I think ages (Jack), years (Stuart). forever (Bobby and Will)

Q. Where do you think you'll be in 5 years?
A. A different country hopefully (Will and Stuart) Doing big gigs
(Bobby and Jack)

Q. Do you argue a lot being brothers and do you make up quickly?
A. Well, Yes we argue but that brothers for you (Jack, Will and Bobby)
It's a bit annoying like especially when its just small stuff (Stuart)

Q. Who writes the songs?
A. All of us together so it's more like fair

Q. Where is the best place you've performed?
A. Probably Virgin Megastore in London (Jack) Blue Peter (Stuart) The
Marquee (Will and Bobby)

Q. What do you do in your spare time?
A. Skateboarding and learning new songs.

After the interview we had our picture taken with them. We were also
given badges and stickers with the band name on them and an autographed
photo. It was totally cool and I wanted to watch the gig but my parents were
boring and said it went on too late!
